A group of Roman and later glass vessels 1st Century A.D. and Later, including a bottle with spherical body, tall narrow neck and applied trailing around the body, 10cm high, some cracks; a small Roman bowl with collar rim, part of rim missing, 4cm high; a damaged bottle with pronounced vertical ribs, 10cm high; a double balsamarium with applied trailed decoration, 11.6cm high; another damaged example, 10.2cm high; a bowl set on a ring base with waisted sides and inward-rolled rim, 5.3cm high, 9.2cm diam, some cracks; a damaged candlestick unguentarium, 8.6cm high, all Roman 1st-4th Century A.D., two late Roman to Islamic glass bottles, one with ovoid body and tapering conical neck, 11cm high, the other with spherical body and short cylindrical neck, 7cm high and four other later glass vessels, 6.6cm-9.2cm high, and a Chinese hardstone bowl set on a ring base, 10cm diam (14)Provenance:Property of a private collector, Edinburgh (1938-2021).
