整器以和阗白玉为料，玉质莹润，包浆清透，玉理精坚。水盂呈金蟾形，金蟾卧姿，刘海攀附于金蟾一旁，金蟾体型浑圆，双目露睛，向上仰望，脊背饰以圆凸小点。刘海秃顶散发，额际宽广，弯弯的细眉连于鼻沟，一对笑眼眯成缝。身着广袖长袍。刘海呈半跪姿态，右手握一串金钱穿过金蟾。整体造型匠心独运，刀工遒劲精细，细部处理精细工致，包浆自然厚实，是清中期玉雕中难得的文房精品。
