Ca. 100-300 AD.A finely engraved convex rock crystal intaglio with a portrait of a bearded man, engraved to the underside. The right-facing bust features short, curled hair, a receding hairline, deep-set eyes, an aquiline nose, and a full beard. The intaglio is set in a beaded frame of a later period gold ring of openwork design comprising a broad hoop with scrolled decoration tapering to the rear.
