A JAPANESE GOLD AND BLACK LACQUER FOUR-CASE INRO MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY Decorated with Raijin to one side and Fujin to the reverse, the God of Lightening and the God of Thunder depicted walking by a pine tree, both carrying a large drum on its back, with details in gold and silver lacquer on the black roiro ground; together with a large wood netsuke carved as an oni slicing a cucumber on a drum, signed Gyokumin with kao, the inro 8.2cm.
