KATSUKAWA SHUNWA (ACT.1790-1830) EDO PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY A Japanese yurei-zu kakemono (hanging scroll painting of a ghost), ink and colour on paper, depicting the haunting figure of a mother cradling her child, the ghost with deformed features, biting her lower lip whilst looking at the viewer, her head with red blotches, signed and with a red seal mark, 47.5cm x 26cm, with a tomobako wood box.
