PLEASE NOTE THE ESTIMATE SHOULD READ £500-800 A JAPANESE NABESHIMA DISH EDO PERIOD OR LATER, 18TH OR 19TH CENTURY The moulded body painted in underglaze blue and polychrome with three leaves and two long pods, with a kintsugi gold lacquer repair to the rim; the reverse with two leafy branches and flowers, raised on a shaped foot with comb design, 19.3cm. Provenance: from the collection of Dr Oliver Impey (1936-2005), and Dr Jane (Mellanby) Impey (1938-2021), of Cumnor Place, Oxford.
