PLEASE NOTE THE ESTIMATE SHOULD READ £500-800 A STUDY COLLECTION OF FOUR JAPANESE POLYCHROME ITEMS EDO AND LATER, 17TH CENTURY AND LATER Comprising: two rectangular dishes, one in Kakiemon style with two dragons, peonies, pine and prunus, the other with floral sprays and formal patterns; the third dish in the shape of two leaves, with a band of cash and kintsugi gold lacquer repairs; the fourth in the shape of a partially-opened fan, with cherry blossoms and geometric patterns, a six-character Chenghua mark underneath; all decorated with polychrome enamels, 17.1cm max. (4) Provenance: from the collection of Dr Oliver Impey (1936-2005), and Dr Jane (Mellanby) Impey (1938-2021), of Cumnor Place, Oxford. Cf.
