PAIR OF GIRANDOLES WITH GARDENER FIGURINES. Meissen. Date: 19th century. Maker/Designer: Model E. A. Leuteritz using old molds. Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colors and gold. Description: Ascending foot with rocaille or shell relief bands. The fields between them painted with birds and insects. Figural candelabra shaft, one with a sitting male, the other with a female gardener. One is accompanied by a boy the other by a girl. The removable, four-flame candelabrum inserts are decorated with fully sculpted flower and fruit tendrils. Measurement: Height incl. chandelier attachments 47,5cm and 48cm.
