College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad and subsequently completed her post-graduate studies in painting from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. Her compositions, as is the case with the present lot depict scenes from her childhood and the time she spent in her village. Here she has painted Deepak the fruit seller from Manekchowk Fruit Market. She is nostalgic for the simplicity of village life and she uses a variety of colours and textures to illustrate this. Her works have been exhibited at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai and as part of the 'Six Women Show' at Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi.
