Late 19th Century 'drum and bells in sight' cylinder musical box, circa 1870, the mechanism (apparently anonymous, only stamped '5'), having a 13-inch barrel and two-part steelb plus a 4-inch drum with eight beaters, and six sunburst-engraved bells, arranged in two 'podiums' of three, two of these with insect-decorated s, playing eight airs as listed on printed and handwritten card lithographed by 'Valluet jeune a Besançon', "8 airs Tambour Timbres visible", numbered in ink 8901 or 8907, within marquetry case (s/d), 59.5cm x 29cm x 24cm high
