黄釉瓷器自明代起便用作祭祀方丘（地坛）的祭祀用器。据《大明会典》卷二百零一载：“嘉靖九年，定四郊各陵瓷器：圜丘青色，方丘黄色，日坛赤色，月坛白色，行江西饶州府如式烧解。” 此种用瓷器作为祭器的习俗，在清代时得以沿袭。明代黄釉以高温白釉为底，釉上再施低温黄釉，因此对胎体的遮盖能力较强。而清代早期黄釉是直接在胎体上施低温黄釉，因此釉下胎骨明显，本品即为此属。 此尊撇口，束颈，鼓腹至近足处内斜收，圈足。尊内外皆施黄釉，釉面均匀明净，呈色鲜亮雅致，沉着典雅。
