棒槌瓶为顺治、康熙时期的创新器型，瓶腹平缓，适合展示瓷画之美，故广为流行。本品撇口，长颈，丰肩，直腹，圈足。通体以青花装饰，颈部凸起一道弦纹，弦纹上下分别绘回纹与城墙纹各一周，细致而富有层次。瓶身绘三娘教子图，女子容貌秀美温婉，两名孩童嬉戏玩闹，活泼可爱，身周案几陈供均描绘细腻，活灵活现。本品挺拔俊秀，鲜丽明快，墨分五色，层次分明。画面构图疏朗，笔法灵活，绘画细致，富有立体感。
