BAROQUE TOP SECRETARYSwabia/Kirchheim, 1730-1750, three-part construction in softwood, walnut and walnut root veneer, with band inlays forming fields and ornamental marquetry, the base resting on pressed ball feet, the top of the base curved inwards in the centre, with two flared, rounded support surfaces for the writing surface at the sides, the writing section slightly recessed with a bevelled writing surface, in the centre a merry baroque society in luxurious dresses playing cards while drinks and food are served to them, the interior division consists of a central niche and four drawers in walnut, the top consists of the central tabernacle door flanked by drawers which are also locked by the closed door, behind the door there are further drawers, HxWxD: 178/117/82 cm. Traces of age, partly replaced.
