A STUNNING BURMESE SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND AND GOLD PENDANT, WITH REPORT. The untreated cushion mixed cut, natural vivid blue Burmese sapphire approximately 9.90 carats. Flanked by sixteen diamonds approx. 1ct set in 18ct yellow gold on a domed basket weave. Further mounted in rose gold ring stamped 750 with strand of elephant hair. Report from AnchorCert Gem Lab, Birmingham dated 21st October 2022, report no. 300727/20059673. Concluding the sapphire is of Burma Myanmar origin, natural sapphire with no evidence of treatment. 4.8cm diam. Total weight 26.3 grams. Provenance: From a local Bath family, purchased in 2003. This piece was designed and crafted by Mueen Saheed, the award winning Sri Lankan jewellery designer. In 2002 winning an award for the 18 carat gold basket weave design.Very slightly misshapen between 11 and 12 o'clock. A few tips of basket weave slightly detaching to interior around sapphire mount.
