TWO CHINESE TOMB RUBBINGS ON PAPER, 20TH CENTURY. The larger example from a Tang Dynasty tomb, depiciting two figures of court ladies flanked by birds and flowers within a foliate border, Shanxi province, 78.5cm x 134cm, the smaller rubbing depicting a figure of a court lady holding a flower, with seal mark and character inscription, 41.5cm x 68cm (2)The largest example in good overall order. It has been folded and has creases, very minor tears to edges. The smaller example with short tear top right, remnants of yellow discolouration from tape at edges, small faults to rubbing. Some uneven edges to both.
