Frame/Pedestal: Base (4.5 x 30 x 12cm, total height: 24cm). The work presented here is one of two versions in iron from the 1950s. The other is in the possession of the estate. There are also other bronze castings (edition 6 + 1). This work is a former gift from the artist to the Berlin collector Kurt Brandes. Brandes enabled the artist to carry out his first casting experiments in the iron foundry of the Werner von Siemens-Werke.
