|大黑天又译为摩珂伽罗，莫珂格罗，玛哈嘎拉等。该神本是婆罗门教湿婆（大自在天）的化身，后为佛教吸收成为佛教护法神，特别是在密宗中大黑天是重要的护法神是专治疾病之医神与财富之神，藏传佛教认为大黑天是毗卢遮那佛或称为大日如来佛，降魔时呈现的怒目相，此唐卡中主尊是一头二臂大黑天，身披虎皮，足踏人尸，四周绘火焰及瑞兽纹唐卡四角各绘一个大黑天，大黑天的形象有多种，常见的有二臂像，四臂像，六臂像，供养修持大黑天，能安乐家庭和谐，财源广曾，生活丰裕。传世的黑金两臂马哈噶啦今已非常罕见。
