There appears to be a narrow horizontal strip (approx. 0.5cm.) along the lower margin. The wood grain runs horizontally. The paint layer is stable and secure and in a good original condition. The signature is well preserved with some minor augmentation to an area beneath it. Natural thinness to the paint layer to the edge of the ledge has been addressed and a small damage between the edge of the lemon, where it abuts the grape, has been touched out. 1-2 minor losses along the raised grain in the background have been restored out. The varnish is discoloured and degraded and its removal would improve the overall tonality and reveal chromatic nuance. The paint texture is very well preserved, fine details are intact and the painting presents very well."In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
