She collaborated with Ballet Rambert, and later worked with the Royal Ballet on productions of ballets by Pyotr Iiyich Tchaikovsky. Lady Bonham Carter was a founding member of the Ballet Rambert in 1926, and remained on the board for nearly 50 years. It is Britain's oldest dance company.
