His portrait of his friend, the artist Harry Rutherford (1903-1985), is in the The Astley Cheetham Art Collection, alongside works by Geoffrey Key, Cedric Morris and Edward Wolfe. He was a member of Chelsea Arts Club Club and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
