A George III 18ct gold keywind open-faced gentleman's pocket watch, the gilt fusee movement with lever escapement, the backplate detailed 'ThoS Moss Ludgate Street London No 5310', the dust cover similarly signed, the circular enamelled dial with black Arabic hour numerals, the case with engine turned decoration, London 1809, total weight 100.8g, case diameter 4.7cm. Note: Thomas Moss is a recorded clock and watchmaker, who became free of the Clockmakers' Company in 1786, working at 24 Ludgate Street, London, between 1775 and 1823. He died in 1827.
