A Victorian rosewood and brass inlaid mantel timepiece, the Empire movement with platform escapement, the circular enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals, the octagonal case with urn finial above foliate inlaid decoration, flanked by a pair of loose ring handles, on a rectangular plinth, inlaid with a cut brass scene of a rider standing on the back of two horses, chasing three further horses ahead, on bun feet, height 52.7cm.
