The blue leather top attractively worn and with significant age. The gilt lacquered brass swan-neck handles possibly original, locks apparently replaced throughout, with three keys. Surface of good colour, but displaying typical old marks, scuffs and scratches, notably to plinth pedestal base. One frieze drawer now lacking internal divisions, and secured splits. Some splits to oak drawer linings, some of which have been consolidated. Repaired breaks to one pedestal around the hinge site. Upper section bowing slightly and therefore does not sit flush with the pedestals.
