Learning brush technique with C.C. Wang and others, the artist approaches the landscape from a singular viewpoint. As a 20th century artist embracing the literati style, his landscapes embrace tradition, while at the same time are innovative. Since 2007, Arnold Chang has collaborated with the photographer Michael Cherney (Qiu Mai) to create a fascinating series of art works, where the collaboration itself is celebrated.
