The present lot and the one that follow, are two excellent examples that showcase Feng Ming Chip's innovative approach to calligraphic expression, and evince the potential that still remain for calligraphy, despite thousands of years of evolution. Fung Ming Chip has created several of his own script forms, including "Shadow Script" as seen in lot 851 His approach is undeniably contemporary, yet also deeply linked to the long tradition. Born in Guangdong province, his family relocated to Hong Kong and then the United States. Later moving to Taiwan, the artist now resides in Hong Kong.
