A Meissen Partial-Gilt Porcelain Figural Group: Allegory of Architecture, late 19th century Marks: (crossed swords and dot in underglaze blue), 3 8-3/4 x 7-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches (22.2 x 18.4 x 14.0 cm) Figural group featuring three putti around a column holding attributes of architecture. The original model, designed circa 1772-1774 by Michel-Victor Acier, was part of the Meissen room at the Oranienbaum Palace of Catherine the Great in St. Petersburg.
