|此炉体量颇大，仿商周彝鼎之样式加后人之巧思化裁而成。炉腹四方形，上有双立耳，腹部四脊出扉棱，做龙首而鱼尾之摩羯状。平底，下有四立姿、双手托举之童子为四足。腹部亦铸百子图与足相映衬，以山石花卉过度画面，三五成组，或颦或喜，或玩耍谈天，形态各异，生动传神，画面充满天真烂漫的气氛，惹人喜爱。旋转看来，画面连续展开，妙趣横生，寓意连生贵子，多子多福。双立耳亦装饰双龙争珠纹样。明代金石学兴盛，仿古之风盛行一时，不少工艺造型及纹饰图案都受这一时代风格影响。此件作品虽然造型仿商周时期之青铜鼎，但纹饰特点又具时代风貌。上配兽面纹木盖，其上嵌寿山石如意灵芝纹盖钮，装饰可谓一丝不苟，与同时代注重造型毫无纹饰的素炉迥异，本器纹样繁密细腻，精工绚丽，造型深醇古穆，可谓穹工殚巧之佳作。
