A famille verte deep dish, Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China, Possibly a bowl from a wash set, this oblong, octagonal dish is decorated with flowers and birds. The paneled sides with smaller floral scenes and the outer edge with a green ground and four cartouches showing various insects. The exterior in a similar style. The standing rim with two pierced holes for wall-hanging. Not marked. 28 x 23.5 cm, H 5.6 cm, Glaze/rim fritting and glaze chipping . No hairlines or restoration. Some wear from age and use.
