A blue and white 'Long Eliza' vase, Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China, Decorated with long panels containing standing female figures and flower filled vases on a stand. Marked with an artemisia leaf. Lid missing. H H 15.7 cm, Small bruises along the standing rim. No other damage and no restoration. The property of a Dutch nobleman.Provenance: Johannes Bieruma Oosting (1842-1902) and his wife Cornelia Charlotte Brantsma (1848-1894), by descent to their daughter Agatha Victoria Bieruma Oosting (1875-1968). And by descent to the present owner.
