An unusual patterned set of famille rose cups and saucers, Yongzheng period, ca. 1722-1735, China, Three cups and four saucer with a richly decorated pattern that shows Persian or Islamic influence. Not marked. Saucers: D 10.7 cm, Cups: D 7 cm, H 3.5 cm, Rim fritting. One saucer with a small chip on the back edge. No hairlines and no restoration. The property of a Dutch nobleman.Provenance: Johannes Bieruma Oosting (1842-1902) and his wife Cornelia Charlotte Brantsma (1848-1894), by descent to their daughter Agatha Victoria Bieruma Oosting (1875-1968). And by descent to the present owner.
