A Chinese imari porcelain teapot, Kangxi or Yongzheng period, ca. 1700-40, China, Of globular form with flattened lid and decorated with a flower filled vase, standing on a low table, a scroll cartouche and flowering peonies. Not marked. L 16.6 cm (handle to spout) and 11 cm (high (to top of finial). The end of the spout has been ground down slightly. A chip on the inside opening edge and some wear of the gilding. No other damage, no hairlines and no restoration.
