此瓶通体釉层肥厚，有细碎开片，呈玻璃光泽，近足处垂釉但足际无釉，这正是郞窑红瓷器烧造成熟的特点，号称“郎不流”。釉色鲜红浓艳，如初凝牛血般鲜红艳丽，可与饮誉中外的明代宣德宝石红釉并肩齐名，因而有“比视成宣欲乱真”之说。整体风格热情奔放却不失端庄大气。
