说明：经盒通体木制，工艺精湛，选西藏兰芝地区特产上品木，肌理细腻，色泽清丽优雅。盒盖遍布护法神、空行母，层次分明，外盖刻双上师像，左侧题识：诸品经第三十三卷上一。
清朝帝王多笃信佛教，不仅经常在皇宫内外讲经、礼佛，还大量印刷、抄写经书。重大节庆如年节、冬至以及太后、帝后生辰时，皇帝往往会亲笔写经祈福。御笔亲书的佛经需用精美的盒具装盛，如台北故宫博物院珍藏雍正帝写本《金刚般若波罗蜜经》配有上开式楠木书盒装，乾隆帝写本《般若波罗蜜多心经》用黑漆描金云蝠纹书盒。这件木雕诸佛菩萨经盒，当亦为此用。此器工艺精良，用材珍贵，存世甚少，极其难得。
