此件灵芝天鹿摆件，整块取和田白玉雕成，采用圆雕、镂雕手法，雕琢细腻自然。鹿作跪卧状，吻部凸出，双角贴于脑后，口衔灵芝，温驯可人，生动有趣。鹿身光素，曲线优美流畅。局部以平行的细短阴线刻饰鹿毛和鬓须，刀工精致，灵动可爱。鹿在古代吉祥寓意中，取其谐音，而有“禄”的联想，“天鹿者，能寿之兽，五色光辉，王者孝道则至。”此件灵鹿口衔灵芝，寓祝仕途“福禄双全”，祥瑞之气尽显，不愧为琢玉文化登峰造极的乾隆时期文房精品。
