花觚造型取自商周青铜，原为酒具，自宋代开始生产瓷质觚，其功能亦由酒具转变为陈设用器。明末清初之际，瓷质花觚开始大量制作。与此同时，由于戏曲、小说的流行，版画艺术也随之发展迅速，对瓷器纹饰产生了重要影响，尤其青花瓷器多以戏曲、小说、神话故事，历史场景为装饰纹样，拍品即为在此背景下生产的青花神话故事图瓷器佳作。花觚敞口，收腹，足部外撇，器形高大挺拔，胎体坚硬，造形庄重古木。通体以青花绘制群仙贺寿图。画中高山入云，古松苍劲，几位老者策仗而行，有说有笑，栩栩如生。人物形象刻画精细，姿态生动传神，青花色泽艳丽，浓淡变化自如，为崇祯时期青花瓷器中的代表之作。
