此瓶盘口直颈，丰肩鼓腹，下承圈足，因形似棒槌而得名，其腹部平缓而开阔，适宜绘饰各类人物场景，为康熙朝新创之瓶式。其上以线为骨，施以青花淡彩或重彩，通景式绘饰三国人物画面，绘工笔法多变，疏密有秩，形象逼真活脱，所穿甲胄、头饰，腾跃身姿，虽画面人物众多，但主次关系分明，笔触皴染得宜，老辣精到。
