此件拍品呈筒形，露胎，平底无釉，上有点状窑沾，胎体薄且细腻，白中微微泛红。通体施以宝石蓝釉，釉质平整，呈纯正的宝石蓝色，积釉处颜色更深。整体以刻花工艺进行装饰，外壁刻火珠龙纹，龙身线条简约，劲健有力，鱼尾、蛇身，爪如鹰钩，细颈小头，圆眼长角，火珠飞舞，极富动感，为典型元代龙纹的风格。《元典章》中云：街市诸色人等不得制造日月龙凤等缎匹。《元史-顺帝本纪》中云：“禁麒麟、双脚五爪龙、八龙、九龙等服。”是为其身份高贵之象征，故此物十分珍贵，是元代蓝釉器之珍贵遗存。
