此件玉杯采用大块和阗白玉雕制而成，色泽微黄，玉质温润细腻，局部带沁，包浆自然。主体为圆形，莲花口，内壁雕有隐起莲瓣，周围镂雕花鸟纹饰，牡丹等各类花朵盛开，枝叶交错缠绕，叶片舒展翻卷，生动形象，充满旺盛的生命气息。有数只鹭鸶穿梭于花间，或驻足回首，或傲立枝头，姿态各异，活灵活现，富有动感。此杯设计考究，雕工细致精巧，纹饰排布疏密有致，细节处理一丝不苟。鹭鸶常与莲荷、芦草等组图，有“一路连科”仕途得意之寓意。是一件精美雅致的明代文房陈设佳器。
