A Victorian silver toast rack in the manner of Christopher Dresser, Hukin & Heath, Birmingham 1896, the divisions spelling out 'toast', upon a diamond shaped base on four bun feet, Rd. No.249288, 11.3cm wide, weight 2.73oztCR; The dividers are in good order, no obvious signs of misshaping, splitting or repair. Some minor dents, general scratching and wearmensurate with age and use. The diamond shaped base shows some minor denting, general scratching and wearmensurate with age and use. The feet are heavily dented, one shows splitting around the top, and a couple show signs of solder repair. One foot makes a rattling sound when moved. There is a minor wobble on a level surface.
