Description Chinese jade tripodal archaistic form censer or incense burner, celadon with lavender inclusions. Consisting of a three-part lid in the form of a pagoda with pierced, lotus-carved finial, a hexagonal roof with hanging bells, and a foliate pierced gallery. The round body features a key fret hexagonal rim and is decorated with high relief carved vignettes of foo dogs and horses, flanked by two pierced elephant mask handles and resting on foo lion mask knees and paw feet, articulated rings throughout. Raised on a fitted and pierced hardwood stand. 11" H x 7" W x approx. 4 5/8" D.
