Description Qing Dynasty embroidered silk ceremonial or court robe, elaborately embroidered with gilt and colored threads on an apricot colored ground with apricot lining, the body and sleeves with embroidered designs, including dragon chasing the flaming pearl, bat, crane, precious object, and floral decorations, the lower edge with mountain, wave, and a striped border. Framed in a shadow box on a black ground within a gilt wood frame. Robe: 43 1/2" H x 42" W. Framed: 57" H x 55 1/2" W. Late 19th/Early 20th century.品相报告: Condition Report Robe has been mounted to black foamboard with tacks and adhesive and the opening has been sewn shut. No attempt was made to remove the textile from the adhesive tack glue affixed to the black backing. Some fading to outside silk of robe, closure missing.
