Description Pair (2) of Louis XV style Belle Epoque gilt bronze sculptural chenets or andirons, each depicting a cupid cherub with feathered lower body working at a Neoclassical style table draped with cloths and tassels. One appears to be smithing more arrows or while the other with wreathed bow in one hand reaches toward a nest of birds. Each table has a flame contained within an Anthenienne upon a plinth base. 14 3/4" H x 16 7/8" W x 6 1/8" D. French, late 19th or early 20th century.品相报告: Condition Report Both items with minor scattered areas of oxidation. Cherub smithing arrows with loss of fletching portion of one arrow.
