Description James Clark, Sr. (British, 1858-1909) oil on canvas equestrian painting depicting a lightly dappled carriage horse with gray mane and cropped tail standing on a bed of straw in a stable. Neatly folded in the corner is a horse blanket with the initials B K. Signed and dated in lower left, "James Clark / 1888." Housed in a modern wooden frame. Sight: 23 1/4" H x 19 1/4" W.
