Description Jacob Anchutin (North Carolina, 1893-1964) oil on canvas laid down on board painting titled "New Found Gap Looking Towards Gatlinburg, Tennessee," depicting a view of the Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains in early autumn. Signed "Anchutin" lower right. Handwritten label with title and artist information, en verso. Housed in a giltwood frame with a wooden fillet. Sight: 15" H x 19 1/4" W. Framed: 22" H x 26" W. Note: Jacob Anchutin was the illustrator of Tom B.
