Description Suzanne Eisendieck (Polish/French 1908-1988) oil on canvas Impressionist-style painting of a girl identified as a dancer who wears a pink dress and looks over a balcony. In her hair are flowers and a domestic interior with wallpaper and flyers or prints on the wall is visible behind her. Signed lower right. French inscription in black paint en verso identifies the figure as a "Danseuse Romantique" or Romantic dancer. Arthur Lenars & Cie., Paris, international shipping agency sticker on stretcher. Housed in a carved wooden frame with gilt wash. Sight: 24 1/4" H x 15" W. Frame: 31" H x 24 3/4" W. Biographical note: Born in Danzig, Suzanne Eisendieck studied at the city's Academy of Fine Arts before moving to Paris. She began exhibiting in Paris in 1929 at the Salon des Independants and worked in a style inspired by French Impressionists such as Monet and Renoir. She married fellow painter Dietz Edzard, a student of the celebrated Expressionist Max Beckmann.品相报告: Condition Report Painting is in excellent condition.
