Monumental vase in shape derived from Greek "hydria" water carriers, with slightly flared mouth, elongated neck, wide shoulder, and tapered foot. When viewed with reflected light, the vase appears champagne in color with silver bands and crimson swirls at shoulder and crimson pulled feather decoration with hints of teal surrounding the body. When viewed with transmitted light, the vase appears to glow and color shifts to vermillion. Straw, included material, and faint tool marks to interior of neck. Apparent drilled hole to underside with attendant 1/2 inch stable internal fissure. Otherwise, no chips, cracks, or restoration observed.
