A pair of identical chariot suspensions. The hexagonal socket tapering conically upwards, with an aperture on the front to attach it to a wooden pole. Extending after a pronounced shoulder on the top into an eagle's head, its beak slightly open. The eagle's plumage etched and chiselled on and over the shoulder and on the back of its head. Anatomical details of the eyes and beak clearly delineated. Heads of cobras rearing up on both sides, their hoods inflated. These heads also embellished with finely wrought, lifelike anatomical details. Exquisite green patina, sprinkled with blue dots that give the impression of marbling. Height 15 cm, width 14 cm.
