All measurements are approximate.Kim Sung-geun, a people's artist, was born on July 8, 1945 in Samsong-ri, Cheonma-gun, North Pyongan Province, North Korea, he is a mainstream artist of Mansukho Creative Society in Korea and is famous for his waves. He is a master of wave painting, a people's artist, a laureate of the People's Prize, a three-year employee of the Gumi Factory, and a fine artist of the Korean Painting Group of the Manjuhwa Creative Society in 1971, he graduated from Pyongyang University of Fine Arts in 1972-1975 and was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 1991 and People's Artist in 1998. He is known as "Kim Bo-tao" in Korea for his skill in painting waves with the sea as his theme.
