"Sheltering from a Storm", oil on linen, unsigned, depicting a concerned farm family of four clustered under an ancient tree during a thunderstorm, an oval image with painted spandrel in a rectangular gold painted deep cove frame, OS: 14" x 17", SS: 8 1/2" x 11 1/2". Good condition. Card verso identifies artist and gives title, says "This artist specialized in painting landscape scenes. He lived at Northampton and exhibited many times in that town and the surrounding locality, particularly in Wolverton and Kettering."
