Three Chinese ' Baitian ' soapstone seals, the largest white stone with mutton fat inclusions and brown inclusions, signed Su Xuan , 9.2 high x 4cm x 2.5cm; another of pale green stone, with face finial, signed Ye Yezhou (Ye Weiming 1866-1948), 6.7 high x 3.5 x 1.7cm and the other of veined white stone, with carved and pierced finial, signed Jiekan , 8.8cm high x 2.3cm x 1cm (3)Baitian stones, literally meaning 'white field', are the white coloured variety of the shoushan soapstone family and are found in the Shoushan district thirty kilometres north of Fuzhou City in Fujian province.
